It is important to know that the first appointment differs from follow-up sessions because you and your therapist will review and complete a few forms. You will discuss personal information, like your background, history, and current circumstances, talk about your goals, and develop a follow-up plan. The first session also provides you the opportunity to ask your therapist questions.
Starting therapy can cause anxiety or tension, but remember, you decide what is OK to discuss. The initial appointment is 60 minutes. You may schedule your first appointment by completing the Contact Form.
After confirming your appointment, you will receive an email with some documents attached. You may review and sign forms you are comfortable with, or you can wait until your session and discuss them with your therapist.
