The first appointment is different from follow-up sessions. You and your therapist will review and complete a few forms, talk through your background, history, and current circumstances, discuss your goals, and develop a follow-up plan together. The first session is also your time to ask any questions you may have about therapy or the process.
Starting therapy can bring feelings of anxiety, tension, or uncertainty, but remember, you decide what feels OK to share. The initial appointment is 50–60 minutes. You can schedule your first session by completing the Contact Form.
Once your appointment is confirmed, you'll receive an email with some documents attached. You can review and sign forms you're comfortable with, or you can wait until your session and discuss them with your therapist.
